No Compass

The societal compass and the rule of law are innately based on the spiritual beliefs of the nation in my opinion. The values of a nation are also based on the  perceived spiritual awareness of that people. What spiritual valued base system is America founded on? In Barbados, we consider ourselves as a Christian nation i.e. European Christianity. But we still have numerous other faiths here. The laws and the attitudes of the land reflect how we view ourselves. What exactly is he saying? Does the mind, which is spiritually grounded, seek to lead or be in a position of leadership, or does it seek to simplify life in oneness and harmony with all around it?

Let us look a little deeper at  the implications of what the president is saying.

Afrika is still a Black nation even though all races of people reside there.

OAH is asking WHAT DO YOU SAY? Comment below

We ask each member of the OAH family to purchase a copy of the magazine and support cultural revolutionist and the cultural revolution in Barbados. Only we can make that change for the sake of the future generations of Afrikans here in the west.

Let me say first that I am not entirely in disagreement with the removal of religion from schools, but rather I wish they had found a way to allow for religious individuality instead.

If religion and spirituality are seen as two different things, then lack of religion does not equal lack of morals, but lack of spirituality does.

1 ruling religion being removed allows for all forms of spirituality to be utilized if crafted properly by the educators, but we have to be open to seeking the similarities in all forms of spiritual practices in order to use the fundamentals which are essentially the same in all.

So for example, whether it be the Laws of Ma’at or the 10 Commandments… The ones that we can see and agree on can be understood as governing law, while any others would be left to individual discretion.

There must be a way for Ausar, Jesus, Jahovah, Muhammad, Khrishna, Baha’u'llah… And whoever else, to live in one house if they are all standing true to their own similar principles.

    Just an opinion.

Everyone will interpet obama’s speech in their own way.I personally feel that obama was just saying when it comes to the value beleif system in america we should be able to get along with one another based on the laws of the land and not going at each other’s throat based on our own faith becouse the world is made of various beleif systems. Some are christian, muslim, jewish, non beleivers and other faiths. I feel obama was saying leave spirituality at home and focus on getting along regardless of faith or nationality. Many countries allow faith to conqure and divide but true spirituality should bring harmony which many so called church goers lack. Something to think about!!
